3 of my favourite books on Tantric Sexuality
Today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite books about neo-tantric and sacred sexuality.
For the past 10 years, I have combined eastern spiritual traditions with some of the best western practices to offer practical, fun, and transformational approach to sexuality in my Couples Counselling and Sex Therapy.
So many people are looking for something “more” or different when it comes to sex.
More connection, more healing, more pleasure and joy; energetic orgasms, “heartgasms”, multiple orgasms with or without penetration and with or without ejaculation.
There’s a lot of misunderstandings about Tantra and how it relates to sacred sexuality. There is a lot of judgment and even fear of what we call "tantric sex". There are too few role models and not enough people talking about it, so you’ll need to find out for yourself.
But like with anything else in life, please don’t try it just once and decide it has nothing for me. Give it a fair chance.
Here are 3 of my favorite books to help you start your exploration.
Diana Richardson: "Tantric Orgasm for Women"
This is the book I recommend the most. This book is written for women by a woman and it talks about sexuality and pleasure from a feminine perspective.
“Sadly, when women choose to stay with conventional sex - which is a distorted form of male sexuality - we give away our unique feminine magic and power".
Diana also has books for men and for couples. This book is pretty heteronormative, and if that bothers you, see if you can look past it, as the tools are applicable to all genders and sexual expressions. Or, pick this one: "Tantric Sex for Women: A Guide for Lesbian, Bi, Hetero, and Solo Lovers" by Christa Schulte, a wonderful, adventurous, whimsical book full of practices that you can practice solo or with a partner.

Barbara Carrellas: "Urban Tantra"
I’ve studied with Barbara and she is a real deal.
This book is fun and easy to read and it’s packed with ideas to explore, whether you have a partner or are single.
It merges spirituality and sexuality in a very open and inclusive way. It includes many practical ideas how to play with energy and touch to “wake up your body, calm your mind and free your spirit”.

Margot Anand: “The Art of Sexual Ecstasy"
This book is a classic and Margot is a leading expert on tantric sexuality.
She has helped “thousand of people who were bored or disenchanted with sexuality learn to connect deeply with their natural sexual energies, and with the spiritual experience that connection brings”.
This book is a step by step guide to make lovemaking “a truly intimate, deeply fulfilling, sacred experience”.
